Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of experience in coalition or confederation management, policy advocacy, campaign strategy, partnership development, or multi-stakeholder leadership.
- Demonstrated success convening and influencing senior leaders, executives, funders, and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing executive briefings and strategic communications.
- Experience supporting fundraising, donor cultivation, and resource development initiatives.
- Ability to use research, data, and analysis to inform decision-making.
- Proven ability to work effectively across diverse political, geographic, cultural, and organizational contexts.
- Commitment to collaborative leadership, community-centered approaches, and advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
- Experience in water policy, freshwater conservation, natural resource management, or related fields is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Water Group confederation and its sectors, aligning strategy and fostering effective partnerships.
- Facilitate confederation governance by convening meetings, preparing agendas, documenting decisions, and translating priorities into workplans and budgets.
- Monitor policy developments and research emerging opportunities to advance confederation priorities.
- Develop mapping, intelligence, and analytical products to identify coalition assets and strategic pathways for collective impact.
- Create high-quality communications materials including executive briefings, presentations, and reports.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement by developing cases for support and identifying strategic funding opportunities.
- Establish performance metrics and track progress to ensure effective coordination and inclusive practices.
