Requirements
- 3+ years of first-party property claims adjusting experience with a carrier.
- Expertise in handling claims with exposure up to $100,000.
- Demonstrated knowledge of policy interpretation and claims processes.
- Experience managing attorney- and public adjuster-represented claims.
- Ability to draft complex reservation of rights, coverage denial, and release letters.
- Proficiency in Xactimate and Xactanalysis.
- Technical acumen with Excel, Snapsheet, Slack, and CRM systems.
- Experience with recorded statements, fraud indicator identification, and subrogation opportunities.
- Understanding of insurance laws and regulatory requirements across multiple states.
- Availability for required overtime and weekend shifts during catastrophic events.
Responsibilities
- Examine and interpret insureds’ policies and records to determine coverage and company liability.
- Draft, approve, and adjust damage estimates using Xactimate and Xactanalysis.
- Conduct investigations through recorded statements, documentation reviews, and collaboration with authorities or vendors.
- Maintain clear documentation through diary notes and manage vendor relationships on field assignments.
- Negotiate fair settlements with attorneys and public adjusters.
- Apply knowledge of multi-state statutes, insurance regulations, and ethics to all claims.
