Requirements
- Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
- PMHNP certification required for nurse practitioners.
- DEA license.
- 2+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Advance Practice Provider.
- Proficiency in trauma-informed approach and harm reduction modeling.
- Demonstrated ability in psychopharmacological management.
- Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for general mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide psychopharmacological management for diagnosed treatment conditions.
- Deliver medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder.
- Conduct supportive psychotherapy and motivational interviewing using a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach.
- Coordinate care between psychiatry, substance use treatment, and medical services.
- Complete validated rating scales, documentation, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCPs, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, and counselors.
