Requirements
- Active California Nurse Practitioner license.
- PMHNP certification in good standing.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Experience with higher levels of care such as psychiatric hospital care, IOP, SUD facilities, or partial hospitalization programs.
- Strong clinical judgment and understanding of psychiatric medications.
- Proficiency with EMRs and telehealth platforms.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
- Strong time management and clinical documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth evaluations, assessments, and medication management sessions.
- Complete thorough assessments for individuals recently discharged from emergency room settings.
- Collaborate with therapists and supervising psychiatrist to provide integrated care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families.
- Stay current with psychiatric care practices, telehealth trends, and CME requirements.
