Requirements
- 8–10+ years of legal experience.
- Significant experience in employment law counseling.
- At least one prior in-house legal role.
- Experience in high-growth technology companies is a strong asset.
- Prior law firm background is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools.
- Commitment to leveraging technology for legal work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Advise the People Team on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, performance management, terminations, and sensitive employee matters.
- Provide proactive counsel on employment law compliance, specifically advising on non-exempt employee populations.
- Manage internal investigations, policy development, and drafting of employment documentation.
- Support broad legal initiatives including regulatory investigations, privacy and information security matters, and litigation support.
- Review and provide legal input on business contracts.
- Translate complex legal requirements into practical, actionable guidance for business stakeholders.
