Requirements
- 5-8+ years of relevant professional experience with a track record of leading complex technical initiatives.
- Experience designing maintainable solutions using well-accepted design patterns.
- Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with identity and access patterns such as OAuth, OIDC, and JWT.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Ruby and TypeScript, or the ability to ramp up on them.
- Experience working with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Git/GitHub, and Docker.
- Track record of working closely with product and design to refine requirements and roadmap.
- Growth mindset with a focus on seeking feedback and continuous learning.
- Comfort or curiosity regarding AI-assisted coding tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of large, cross-team initiatives, including identity unification and role-based access control.
- Architect, refactor, and improve identity and access systems serving donors, campaigns, and internal users.
- Partner with designers and product managers to shape the roadmap and prioritize work.
- Serve as a technical consultant for architectural decisions, system design, and security best practices.
- Develop and champion design patterns to improve platform maintainability and security.
- Provide technical leadership through documentation, testing, monitoring, and clear communication.
- Mentor teammates and foster a culture of feedback and professional growth.
