Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of successful capital equipment scientific sales experience.
- Ability to reside within the assigned territory.
- Must be able to travel 40%, including overnight travel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) or other CRM sales funnel tools.
- Possession of a clean driver's license.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 45 pounds.
- Expertise in Bio-Layer Interferometry or Surface Plasmon Resonance products is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly and yearly sales goals within the assigned territory.
- Identify, develop, and close key opportunities within the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, CRO’s, Environmental Science and Academic life science research areas.
- Develop, implement, and maintain account strategies and proposals to drive incremental growth.
- Network with key decision makers to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
- Submit accurate sales forecasts, weekly reports, and maintain detailed account information in the CRM system.
- Monitor competitive activity and industry trends to create competitive solutions.
- Present and discuss technology, applications, benefits, and value propositions.
- Coordinate sales efforts with Field Application Scientists and the Service team for product demonstrations and support.
