Requirements
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams building AI-powered or data-intensive customer-facing products.
- Technical depth in at least one of: AI product engineering, real-time reporting/analytics data APIs, or ML systems.
- Experience building or substantially growing teams, including hiring, developing, and retaining senior technical talent.
- Strong product and business acumen with experience shaping roadmaps in partnership with Product Managers.
- Track record shipping high-quality software under velocity pressure.
- Comfort managing across distinct team mandates with different profiles, stakeholders, and rhythms.
- Experience scaling teams from the ground up in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Ability to engage with technical work and maintain a credible point of view on architecture and hiring decisions.
- Familiarity with modern data and engineering stacks (e.g., AWS, Kotlin, Python, Kubernetes).
Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop multidisciplinary teams of Applied AI Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Scientists, Backend Engineers, and Data Platform Engineers.
- Own the delivery for both AI feature sets and the production-grade API and data serving layer.
- Partner with product teams to define and execute the AI feature roadmap.
- Drive quality and trust standards for AI development, including evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
- Ensure the data serving layer meets production reliability and latency requirements for product teams and external customers.
- Manage resourcing, hiring, and team growth across both Data & AI Products and Data Serving teams.
- Represent both teams in leadership forums, translating technical progress and blockers into actionable decisions.
