Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent advanced degree.
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of North Carolina.
- Strong knowledge of specialty medication pharmacology and local/state/federal pharmacy regulations.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to identify barriers to medication adherence and implement improvement plans.
- Experience with oncology or other specialty disease states is preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC, QS1, or WILLOW software is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret clinical patient care notes to provide data for prior authorization approvals.
- Develop disease-specific clinical protocols to maximize adherence and promote cost-effective care.
- Monitor patient adherence using PDC reports, mobile platform data, and EMR assessments.
- Recommend alternative therapeutic drug regimens and evaluate side effects.
- Perform comprehensive medication therapy management, including reconciliation and coaching.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians' daily activities, including verification of prior authorizations and delivery coordination.
