Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating cloud-based, highly available, observable, and scalable data platforms.
- Innate aptitude for interpreting complex datasets and discerning underlying patterns and anomalies.
- Excellence in quality data pipeline design, development, and optimization for secure data foundations.
- Proven ability to independently handle ambiguous project requirements and lead data initiatives from start to finish.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with MLOps or developing/maintaining machine learning models and infrastructure preferred.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools and analytics technologies like Sigma, Looker, or Tableau.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Databricks, AWS, SnowPro, Microsoft Fabric, or dbt Analytics Engineering are a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the discovery, evaluation, and integration of new datasets, collaborating on pipeline development and data modeling.
- Facilitate the technical management of data assets by tracking and maintaining context throughout the dataset lifecycle.
- Translate product and analytical vision into highly functional, trusted data pipelines.
- Design robust data structures and implement scheduling for data transformation pipelines to ensure transparency and reliability.
- Set company standards for data engineering practices, architectural approaches, and integration of cutting-edge technologies.
