Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated Security Engineering experience.
- Proven track record in high-growth SaaS, E-commerce, or Fintech environments.
- Deep understanding of web and API attack vectors and best practices.
- Hands-on experience securing workloads in cloud environments (Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language for scripting and security tool development.
- Strong ability to autonomously drive security initiatives from conception to completion.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: Experience navigating PCI DSS script security.
- Preferred: Background in Red/Purple Team operations and advanced penetration testing.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code security.
- Preferred: Familiarity with GCP, Golang, and TypeScript.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams as a trusted advisor to champion security-by-design.
- Coordinate and execute threat modeling and advanced security tests across product and infrastructure.
- Drive triage and remediation using risk-based principles like EPSS and AI technologies.
- Design, implement, and automate security checks and guardrails (SAST, DAST, secret scanning) into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform deep-dive code and configuration reviews to advocate for proactive shift-left security.
