- Experience
- 2+ years post qualified experience or at least four years' conveyancing experience
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential conveyancing with minimal supervision, or 2+ years post qualified experience, or at least 4 years' experience.
- Recent CPD including AML training.
- Experience in sale, purchase, remortgage and transfers of equity work.
- Experience of freehold, leasehold and new build property transactions.
- Strong affinity for digital tools and modern ways of working.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise a work load at short notice.
- A flexible, adaptable approach.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ambition to develop conveyancing experience and skills.
Responsibilities
- Take temporary ownership of mixed residential caseloads from instruction to file closure when the primary property lawyer is absent.
- Progress files efficiently, ensuring deadlines, exchanges and completions stay on track.
- Accurately update tasks and activities within the case management system.
- Build strong working relationships with the property lawyers being supported.
- Provide clear notes, updates, and recommendations for smooth handovers.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal and internal policies.
- Resolve complex legal issues related to property transactions.
- Support wider business needs by assisting teams with capacity pressure or backlog work.
