Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software QA, including at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
- Degree in IT, business administration, actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect management, and software development lifecycles.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and client stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into structured test scenarios and actionable documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, Microsoft Office tools, and production support processes.
- Experience in retirement plan administration, UI testing, or high-availability environments is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
- Collaborating with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define testing scope, validate requirements, and identify system impacts.
- Executing manual and structured testing cycles, tracking defects, prioritizing issues, and ensuring resolution alignment with project timelines.
- Contributing to production support by analyzing client requests, documenting business needs, and managing the full lifecycle of change requests.
- Supporting root cause analysis, maintaining system documentation, and ensuring high-quality client communications.
- Acting as a QA reference point by mentoring junior testers and contributing to continuous improvement of QA standards.
- Participating in production stability efforts, client training, and occasional on-site or remote client support activities.
