Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional supply chain designation (e.g., CSCMP, CIPS/MCIPS) or active enrollment in a related certification program.
- Strong experience in MRO procurement and familiarity with mining, industrial minerals, or heavy industry environments.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities; familiarity with data analysis tools and AI-enabled sourcing tools is an asset.
- Ability to manage large datasets for forecasting, spend analysis, and procurement optimization.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for MRO and mining services categories across multiple industrial sites in the US and Canada.
- Develop, manage, and optimize supplier relationships while monitoring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead strategic sourcing events, including RFPs, negotiations, and supplier selection processes to drive cost savings and value creation.
- Oversee contract management activities, working closely with legal teams to negotiate and maintain supplier agreements.
- Ensure accurate pricing and data integrity within ERP systems, including catalog management, punch-out solutions, and EDI processes.
- Develop forecasting models, support budget planning, and analyze monthly variances to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with plant-level and corporate stakeholders to design and implement procurement strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate with buyer teams to ensure smooth execution of procurement activities and resolution of supply chain or supplier issues.
