Requirements
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in K–12 education, edtech, or nonprofit sectors.
- Proven success leading distributed or multi-territory sales teams of individual contributors.
- Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets in complex sales environments.
- Deep understanding of full-cycle sales processes, including prospecting, pipeline development, negotiation, and closing.
- Experience coaching and developing high-performing sales professionals in a structured, performance-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret pipeline data and translate insights into actionable strategy.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in or closely with K–12 education systems (teaching, administration, or district leadership strongly preferred).
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on coaching and execution support across multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a national team of sales Directors responsible for managing individual territories and closing strategic partnerships.
- Own the national revenue quota and ensure consistent forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking across all regions.
- Translate national sales strategy into territory-level execution plans, ensuring alignment and accountability across distributed teams.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations to strengthen execution and remove barriers to success.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing, mission-aligned sales talent while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to refine go-to-market strategy and support long-term revenue growth planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Implementation teams to ensure alignment across the customer journey.
- Monitor market trends, funding shifts, and policy changes to inform strategic adjustments and territory prioritization.
- Represent the organization at key national and regional events to strengthen visibility and expand strategic relationships.
- Ensure rigorous CRM discipline and pipeline hygiene to support accurate forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
