  • Interest in a career in development, specifically prospect research or major gifts face-to-face fundraising.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Commitment to the mission of the ACLU.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully.

  • Must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Internship must be tied to a formal education program via integrated coursework or academic credit.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis of donors and prospects.
  • Manage database records including digitizing paper archives.
  • Conduct prospect research on individuals and businesses supporting civil rights work.
  • Monitor current events and curate resource lists for portfolio managers.
  • Assist with small group gatherings and events intended for donor education, cultivation, and stewardship.
