Requirements
- Bachelor degree with minimum 4 years of related experience or Associate degree with minimum 8 years of related experience.
- Experience as Director of Finance at a hotel with a decentralized accounting structure.
- Proficiency in Oracle software.
- Proficiency in IBM TM1 software.
- Experience in supervising employees.
- Ability to travel up to 90%.
- Ability to work long hours as needed.
- Strong ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action accurately.
- Ability to assimilate and interpret complex data from disparate sources.
- Strong communication and listening skills for interacting with guests and teammates.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent leadership, guidance, and training to accounting staff at properties with a Director of Finance vacancy.
- Manage all aspects of fiscal management, financial controls, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Direct or prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports including income journals, budgets, and 5-year plans.
- Communicate financial performance to owners, asset managers, lenders, and stakeholders.
- Monitor revenues and expenses to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits of purchasing, cash handling, inventories, and payroll.
- Hire, supervise, and develop accounting associates.
- Collaborate with Executive Committee members to ensure property operations remain on track.
