Requirements
- Law degree from a top-tier law school and state bar membership in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of legal experience, in-house or at a law firm.
- Experience analyzing and advising on state and federal health care privacy laws.
- Strong background in data privacy and significant hands-on AI experience.
- Project management experience, including distilling issues from stakeholders and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across legal and technical domains.
- Experience solving product-related legal matters.
- Experience in-house with a technology or health care organization preferred.
- Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple competing demands.
- IAPP AIGP or CIPP/US certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support Lyra’s privacy program and advise internal stakeholders on privacy concerns related to products and services.
- Participate extensively in AI use case reviews, including generative AI and agentic AI.
- Draft, maintain, and evolve AI governance documentation, including Responsible AI Policies and standards.
- Ensure corporate adherence to state and federal privacy laws, including CCPA and HIPAA.
- Analyze and advise on evolving US laws and regulations relating to privacy and AI.
- Support international AI regulatory compliance, including the EU AI Act.
- Collaborate with commercial counsel on privacy provisions in commercial agreements and Business Associate Agreements.
- Advise product and business teams on potential regulatory implications of new and existing product lines.
- Investigate, manage, and document privacy incidents.
