Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing K-12 curriculum and learning content at scale.
  • 2+ years of experience as a people manager, or equivalent experience mentoring staff and contractors.
  • Deep knowledge of CS and AI concepts relevant to K-12 grade bands, including CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework.
  • Fluency in at least one text-based programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Current understanding of pedagogical design principles and best practices for online and blended learning environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to content quality assurance, including setting standards and providing feedback.
  • Direct experience teaching CS or AI in a K-12 setting.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize complex workflows.
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional and cross-organizational relationships.
  • Willingness to travel at least twice per year for team events.
  • Background check clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of curriculum content developers, contractors, and part-time staff, focusing on mentorship and team culture.
  • Translate product and content strategy into actionable development plans and lead the team in execution.
  • Launch curriculum content by creating roadmaps, managing milestones, and standardizing development workflows.
  • Set and maintain standards for pedagogy and technical accuracy, managing external subject matter expert reviews.
  • Oversee curriculum partnerships and externally developed content for quality and alignment.
  • Drive innovation in curriculum design, including the integration of AI into content-development workflows.
  • Engage with students and teachers to ensure content decisions are grounded in real-world needs.
  • Collaborate across product, design, engineering, and marketing departments.
