Requirements
- Ph.D. in Higher Education, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related field; OR Master’s degree with 4-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in disability research, including familiarity with disability policy, vocational rehabilitation, and independent living supports.
- Experience with mixed-methods data collection using structured interviews, observations, and surveys.
- Experience leading mixed-methods data analysis, including statistical analysis and management of qualitative data.
- Familiarity with data organization, including database structure, record layouts, and file structures.
- Experience co-authoring systematic or scoping reviews using written protocols.
- Demonstrated knowledge of research principles and design.
- Proficiency in analytic and data management software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, STATA, R, NVivo, Airtable).
- Familiarity with the responsible use of artificial intelligence in research.
- Experience developing and implementing interventions and outcome evaluations.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to engage stakeholders and translate research findings for diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Apply content knowledge and methodological expertise to study design decisions, project activities, and reporting.
- Contribute to or supervise the collection and management of data for projects.
- Lead or contribute to designs for rigorous experimental, quasi-experimental, and descriptive studies.
- Lead or contribute to quantitative analysis and the write-up of research technical reports, briefs, and other deliverables.
- Perform task management duties, including supervising junior staff and communicating with senior managers and clients.
- Engage in business development activities, including capture planning and writing proposals.
- Support collaboration among internal and external team members.
- Contribute to dissemination activities, including presentations, manuscripts, issue briefs, and data dashboards.
- Mentor staff and provide feedback on research design and analytic problems.
