Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of planning/scheduling and cost engineering experience in construction and engineering.
- Technical and practical knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
- Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Demonstrated knowledge of project control principles, cost engineering, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Hands-on experience setting up design and construction schedules and calculating physical percent complete.
- Understanding of various contract types (e.g., cost plus, T&M, FFP) and prime contract requirements.
- Ability to understand accounting systems for job cost tracking.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop scope, schedule, budget, earned value, and estimate to complete data for assigned tasks.
- Lead the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and resource-loaded schedules.
- Analyze cost and schedule performance to minimize project losses and provide defendable projections.
- Manage periodic status reports including financial analysis, labor productivity, and Cost Performance Reports (CPR).
- Perform variance analysis and advise management on risks to profit, costs, and schedules.
- Support change management processes and monitor company quality assurance guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and career development for junior Project Controls staff.
- Coordinate with project managers to maintain accurate project financials in Deltek Vantagepoint.
