Requirements
- Broad technical background across application development, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and platform engineering.
- Experience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform, developer portal, or shared cloud platform.
- Hands-on experience with API gateway technologies (e.g., Kong, Apache APISIX, Envoy, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).
- Strong understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, traffic management, rate limiting, and observability.
- Strong software engineering skills in Java or Kotlin.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Very good English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of an API gateway solution for the platform.
- Consolidate existing pipelines and create a blueprint covering security standards and best practices.
- Apply and transfer API gateway knowledge across cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Contribute to building and operating shared platform capabilities for application development teams.
- Work exploratively with incomplete requirements to translate objectives into implementable solutions.
- Evaluate technical options, create prototypes, and document trade-offs for stakeholders.
