- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in claims processing.
- Medical Billing Certification.
- Coding Certification.
- HIPAA certification.
- Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Receive medical claims from HCPs or patients.
- Verify that adequate supporting documentation has been provided.
- Interpret EOB and CMS1500 forms.
- Vet claims against program-specific business rules to determine payment status.
- Provide customer support via telephone, email, fax, or other means.
- Identify operational challenges and suggest recommendations to management.
