Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a technical artist or closely adjacent role.
- At least one shipped product on a real-time, physically based rendering pipeline.
- Expert-level proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, including materials, Blueprints, and performance profiling.
- Productive programming skills in a combination of Python, C++, HLSL, VEX, and shell.
- Demonstrated ability to independently scope, prototype, and ship working systems.
- Working command of LLM-based coding tools and generative content tooling.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with rendering, simulation, and product teams.
- Generalist mindset with ability to work across content creation, tooling, and performance.
- Experience with procedural content generation in Houdini or equivalent tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with sensor simulation (RGB, LiDAR, Radar) is a plus.
- Experience with distributed or cloud-based rendering pipelines is a plus.
- Background in mathematics, physics, or computational graphics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical content stack including asset pipelines, procedural tooling, material systems, and performance budgets.
- Deliver and ship tooling in Unreal Engine and Houdini to improve content team productivity.
- Implement AI-augmented workflows such as gaussian splat reconstruction and neural texture synthesis.
- Profile and optimize real-time GPU and CPU performance in Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate across content, rendering, simulation, ML, and product teams to manage tradeoffs between fidelity and performance.
- Lead by example and maintain a high standard of technical craft.
- Prototype and ship technical solutions quickly to address open-ended production problems.
- Actively utilize AI tooling such as LLM-assisted coding and generative content models.
