Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, either within agencies or high-growth technology organizations.
- Proven experience building trusted relationships with top-tier media outlets and journalists across Europe.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and emerging media channels, including research publications, technical communities, podcasts, and digital influencers.
- Exceptional ability to translate highly technical or scientific concepts into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience developing executive communications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments.
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote and internationally distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies across European markets to strengthen brand visibility and reputation.
- Lead proactive media relations activities, including press outreach, media briefings, announcements, interviews, spokesperson preparation, and reputation management initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, conference organizers, researchers, and other influential industry stakeholders across Europe.
- Create and implement localized communications plans that reflect the cultural, political, and social nuances of different European markets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, research, engineering, legal, policy, partnerships, and safety to align messaging and communications priorities.
- Draft executive communications materials, including talking points, FAQs, press releases, partnership announcements, investment updates, and expansion communications.
- Manage regional speaking engagements, awards programs, executive appearances, and company-hosted events in collaboration with global communications teams.
- Monitor industry trends, identify storytelling opportunities, and help communicate technical innovations in a clear and engaging manner for a broad audience.
