Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Excellent knowledge of configuring and operating active network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies including VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, and DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with VMWare: vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, and HA.
- Working knowledge of HP/Dell servers and storage systems.
- Experience in the administration of Debian/Ubuntu Linux systems.
- Experience in the administration of monitoring systems, logging, and metrics collection.
- Intermediate or higher level of spoken and technical English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of the company's geo-distributed infrastructure.
- Perform maintenance and configuration of network equipment, bare metal servers, and NAS.
- Manage virtualization systems including VMWare vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, and HA.
- Administer multiple Linux servers within the Debian/Ubuntu family.
- Monitor service status and ensure prompt resolution of emerging problems.
- Automate routine administrative tasks.
- Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of the infrastructure.
- Interact with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, and architects.
