Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.), LL.B., or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Active membership in good standing with a relevant U.S. Bar Association or legal licensing authority.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of legal practice experience, ideally combining law firm training with in-house experience in a technology, software, or SaaS organization.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing commercial technology agreements and enterprise-level contracts.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with legal issues related to artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, data governance, and intellectual property.
- Ability to analyze technical concepts, product workflows, and software integrations from a risk-management perspective.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide solution-oriented legal guidance.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, research, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscriptions, MSAs, and NDAs.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Business Development teams to accelerate contract execution.
- Act as product counsel to identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and IP risks throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on global data privacy regulations and compliance, including data processing agreements and cross-border transfers.
- Monitor and advise on emerging legal developments related to artificial intelligence, technology regulation, and data ethics.
- Manage litigation matters, disputes, and investigations under the direction of senior leadership.
- Support corporate governance, employment-related legal matters, and intellectual property protection.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and operational playbooks to improve efficiency.
