Requirements

  • BS degree in a scientific field or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional sales experience selling testing or similar solutions to hospital/acute care facilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Sacramento area client base.
  • Established network of Physicians, Clinicians, and hospital stakeholders.
  • Proven sales success in selling premium-priced products.
  • Ability to travel 75% within the sales territory.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
  • MS degree is preferred.
  • Expertise in demand creation for new technologies is a plus.
  • PCR testing or DNA/RNA medical diagnostics expertise is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with department stakeholders in acute care/hospital settings.
  • Promote and sell instrumentation and testing applications to laboratory, pharmacy, infection control, and nursing management departments.
  • Develop demand for and adoption of new assays and instrumentation within the account base to achieve territory goals.
  • Coordinate between customers and company personnel to ensure successful product and system implementations.
  • Manage customer activity, track sales funnel, and drive market share using Salesforce CRM.
