Requirements
- 5 or more years performing hands-on automotive repairs.
- 2 or more years as a diagnostic master/lead technician.
- 1 year of experience dealing directly with customers.
- Strong BMW/Mini Dealership experience.
- Working knowledge in the use and maintenance of advanced and OE-level diagnostic scan tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and document automotive diagnostic scan tool data.
- Ability to read and understand various automotive electrical/electronic schematics.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Own a Windows-based computer with Windows 10 or later.
- ASE or OEM certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform remote pre-scans and post-repair (completion) scans on vehicles.
- Support collision repair technicians with diagnostic, programming, and calibration needs.
- Utilize remote scan tools to execute bi-directional testing and component re-learns.
- Read, interpret, and document data from vehicle scan tools.
- Configure vehicle systems to return them to manufacturer-designed conditions.
- Communicate and advise on diagnostic findings to other technicians and non-technical clients.
