Requirements

  • 5 or more years performing hands-on automotive repairs.
  • 2 or more years as a diagnostic master/lead technician.
  • 1 year of experience dealing directly with customers.
  • Strong BMW/Mini Dealership experience.
  • Working knowledge in the use and maintenance of advanced and OE-level diagnostic scan tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and document automotive diagnostic scan tool data.
  • Ability to read and understand various automotive electrical/electronic schematics.
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Own a Windows-based computer with Windows 10 or later.
  • ASE or OEM certifications are a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform remote pre-scans and post-repair (completion) scans on vehicles.
  • Support collision repair technicians with diagnostic, programming, and calibration needs.
  • Utilize remote scan tools to execute bi-directional testing and component re-learns.
  • Read, interpret, and document data from vehicle scan tools.
  • Configure vehicle systems to return them to manufacturer-designed conditions.
  • Communicate and advise on diagnostic findings to other technicians and non-technical clients.
