Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience in SRE, platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Experience operating distributed systems in production such as Kafka, Redpanda, WarpStream, Postgres, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Cassandra.
- Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling like Helm, Terraform, or Jsonnet.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go preferred).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems design, Linux internals, and networking.
- Experience with cloud storage and performance/scaling behavior.
- Experience participating in blameless incident response and writing post-incident reviews.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and work autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Operate and evolve 100+ multi-cloud streaming clusters and related database infrastructure.
- Diagnose and eliminate cross-layer failure modes such as object storage latency or query performance regressions.
- Design safe upgrade and rollout strategies at scale.
- Improve observability, automation, and operational ergonomics.
- Partner with database and platform teams to ensure safe scaling and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and PIR creation.
