Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in a major programming language (e.g., Go, Python, .NET, Java, Rust)
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud provider, including core services, APIs, identity and access, and networking
- Experience with cloud-based software development and production systems
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, robust, and performant software
- Familiarity with observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or OpenTelemetry
- Proven experience driving projects from ideation to production
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation and incident management
- Strong desire to mentor other team members and collaborate on technical strategy
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality, scalable integrations for various infrastructure components, databases, and applications
- Create middleware components, SDKs, and libraries that simplify development and maintenance of observability solutions
- Represent Grafana Labs in open source forums, working groups, and events
- Develop features in collaboration with product, design, and documentation teams
- Support the technical direction and vision of the team through strategic contributions
- Work with Sales, Product, and Support teams to deliver a holistic product experience
- Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and take ownership of services
- Contribute to open source projects, including Alloy, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Beyla
