Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in at least one major programming language.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (core services, APIs, identity/access models, networking).
- Experience with cloud-based software development and production systems.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, robust, and performant software.
- Familiarity with observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience driving projects from ideation to production.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation and incident management.
- Ability to mentor team members and provide technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality, scalable integrations for various infrastructure components, databases, and applications.
- Create middleware components, SDKs, and libraries that simplify development and maintenance of observability solutions.
- Represent Grafana Labs in open source forums, working groups, and events.
- Develop features that align with wider product strategy and customer needs in collaboration with product, design, and documentation teams.
- Contribute to strategic technical direction and future development of observability solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Support teams to deliver a holistic product experience.
- Participate in team follow-the-sun on-call rotations and take ownership of running services.
- Contribute to various open source projects beyond the immediate team's scope.
