Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in telecom/low-voltage design.
- 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry with exposure to telecom, ICT, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with experience producing coordinated models and construction documentation across multiple projects.
- Understanding of engineering principles for technology systems, including ability to support calculations, device layouts, and technical design tasks.
- Experience with coordination tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Asana, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, organization, and documentation discipline.
- Preferred certifications include EIT, CDT, RCDD, or PE (not required but highly valued).
Responsibilities
- Lead and support telecom and wireless system design tasks, including layouts, documentation, calculations, and coordinated engineering deliverables.
- Translate design intent into clear, constructible drawings and specifications for structured cabling, ICT, and low-voltage systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and design partners to ensure alignment across disciplines and resolve technical and documentation conflicts.
- Participate in BIM coordination and design review processes, supporting clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline integration.
- Manage small project scopes independently while supporting larger projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads.
- Contribute to client meetings and coordination discussions by preparing inputs, documenting decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
- Support continuous improvement of internal workflows, documentation practices, and telecom system standards.
