Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or related program
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • LBA Certification
  • Minimum of one year working after BCBA certification (preferred)
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to utilize the principles of ABA to influence socially important behavior
  • Ability to work in a team-based approach to reduce problem behaviors
  • Ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and write reports summarizing results
  • Develop positive behavior support plans
  • Oversee implementation of treatment plans
  • Assist staff in day-to-day training for targeted behavioral needs and implementing behavior support plans
  • Train staff to implement strategies to prevent occurrence of target behaviors and de-escalation strategies
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of data and make programming adjustments as needed
