Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux server environments.
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills and experience with open source technologies.
  • Understanding of network technologies, architectures, and protocols.
  • Practical knowledge of software-defined storage architecture and administration.
  • Practical knowledge of High-Performance Computing (HPC) technologies, including cluster resource management and job scheduling.
  • Demonstrable troubleshooting and configuration competency in hardware, firmware, and OS interoperability.
  • Strong customer service and communication focus.
  • Ability to perform occasional after-hours engagements.
  • Ability to work in a remote role based in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming questions through support channels providing business and product knowledge.
  • Triage, route, and escalate customer engagements to appropriate teams.
  • Generate new service cases and provide updates on existing ones.
  • Assist customers with product configuration and maintenance per SLA.
  • Review and summarize debug logs to resolve or escalate complex tickets.
  • Identify failed hardware components and process RMA requests.
  • Perform System Verification and Health Check Reviews for customers.
  • Investigate technical issues spanning enterprise hardware, software, and storage technologies.
  • Mentor, task, and monitor junior team members.
