Requirements
- 5+ years in an infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering role.
- Deep AWS fluency and hands-on experience in production environments.
- Experience designing VPC architectures and configuring encryption at rest and in transit.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK or Terraform.
- Understanding of compliance-regulated environments like FedRAMP, FISMA, or CMMC.
- Experience with container image pipelines, vulnerability scanning, and image hardening.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
- Experience working with AWS native compute, database, and caching services.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with compliance assessors.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate the AWS GovCloud environment for federal customers.
- Design and implement repeatable infrastructure-as-code to provision dedicated customer environments.
- Own the container image pipeline, including building, hardening, and scanning FIPS-compliant images.
- Identify and fix availability risks and monitoring gaps to ensure health and auditability.
- Collaborate with assessment partners to provide documentation and evidence for FedRAMP authorization.
- Define compliance-restricted functions to maintain security boundaries while enabling engineering operations.
- Support self-hosted federal customers in CMMC environments, including on-call escalations.
