Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or applied analytics.
- Proven experience owning forecasting models in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Comfortable working with large and messy datasets.
- Ability to explain technical work clearly to non-technical users.
- Experience in healthcare or complex operational environments like staffing/capacity planning preferred.
- Experience with capacity-constrained systems preferred.
- Familiarity with optimization solvers such as Gurobi preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate production-grade demand and volume forecasts.
- Maintain model stability through retraining, drift monitoring, and failure handling.
- Define input data contracts, including capacity, constraints, and demand.
- Transform raw data into model-ready features and constraints.
- Validate solver outputs, identify constraint conflicts, and scale issues.
- Compare model outputs to operational reality and run scenario analyses.
- Communicate technical model outputs and trade-offs to operators and clients.
