Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in land development, infrastructure, or project management.
- Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
- Proficiency with data center operations, site development, and construction processes.
- Knowledge of environmental assessments, zoning regulations, and land use planning.
- Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and site collaborations.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Architect, or Land Planner license preferred.
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
- 12+ years of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead cross-functional teams including engineers, planners, and consultants.
- Manage project goal setting, team leadership, and adherence to internal and external budgets and schedules.
- Drive due diligence, zoning, permitting, entitlement, and offsite infrastructure processes to completion.
- Identify and evaluate land opportunities aligned with long-term data center growth.
- Build and maintain trust with clients, local communities, and regulatory entities.
- Deploy machine-learning based project management platforms (AECOM’s AI4Eng).
- Provide management and leadership for a specific technical group or department.
