Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/STEM or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in software engineering and system design.
- Proven experience leading engineering projects or teams.
- Experience building and shipping graphical applications.
- Expertise in Flutter and Dart.
- Experience with Go or Rust is a plus.
- Experience with modern Linux technologies such as Wayland, D-Bus, Systemd, or GNOME.
- Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel twice a year for company events for up to two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Guide architecture and technical direction for Ubuntu desktop applications.
- Lead and support a team of talented engineers while mentoring them across frontend and systems domains.
- Plan and deliver features across multiple release cycles, balancing innovation with reliability.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management processes.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
- Engage with the Ubuntu open source community and ensure integration with the Snap ecosystem.
