Requirements
- Proven experience running a PMO or senior project management function in a regulated or financial services industry.
- Track record of managing a diverse portfolio of concurrent tech, operational, and regulatory initiatives.
- Strong ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, actionable language.
- Experience working directly with and reporting to senior leadership or executive teams.
- Excellent risk management instincts with the ability to act decisively on potential blockers.
- Confidence as an influencer able to hold project owners to account without direct line authority.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with FCA regulatory change programs is highly desired.
- Experience establishing a PMO function from scratch or significantly improving an existing one.
- Comfort working in a distributed, remote-first environment across different time zones.
- Relevant formal certification such as Prince2, PMP, or APM preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage concurrent business initiatives including regulatory, operational, brand, and product development projects.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, tracking dependencies, risks, and progress for stakeholders.
- Act as the primary interface between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Identify, document, and escalate risks and blockers to executive leadership to prevent delivery failure.
- Establish and maintain company-wide project management standards, templates, and governance processes.
- Create and own a centralized portfolio view of all active projects for real-time reporting.
- Implement project tracking and automation tooling to improve efficiency within a remote-first team.
- Lead change management efforts, including communication and training for organizational initiatives.
