Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field.
- 4–5+ years of experience in a systems design role within home automation, smart buildings, or AV systems.
- Strong MEP or electrical design background.
- Proven experience producing accurate take-offs from electrical drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical layouts and low-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of lighting control systems, AV distribution, security and access control, and blind control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design/documentation tools.
Responsibilities
- Design fully integrated home automation systems including lighting control, motorised blinds, power distribution, audio-visual systems, security, access control, and centralised control platforms.
- Develop system architectures suitable for construction and commissioning.
- Produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation.
- Adapt designs to suit project budgets and client requirements.
- Review and interpret MEP and electrical drawings to identify clashes, inconsistencies, and design risks.
- Lead technical clarification discussions with consultants and project teams.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Installers, Electricians, and external consultants.
