Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a data migration, ETL development, or SQL development role
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational database design
- Demonstrated experience writing complex SQL scripts
- Ability to analyze and translate legacy data models into new schemas
- Experience managing contractor deliverables
- Interest in public safety data and the impact of high-quality migrations on customer success
- Prior work with public safety or government systems is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a SQL-based ETL process to migrate decades of public safety data from a legacy system into the Mark43 platform.
- Collaborate with our data migration contractors, reviewing technical deliverables and providing guidance to help them succeed.
- Meet with a customer’s records management team to understand their legacy data structure and translate it to the Mark43 schema.
- Dig into a uniquely formatted source database to uncover edge cases and ensure data fidelity.
- Work alongside Mark43 deployment, engineering, and product teams to iterate on and improve our migration tooling and process.
- Balance project timelines and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
