Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management within construction or real estate.
- Demonstrable experience working on UK-based construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent).
- Proficiency in international measurement standards including NRM, SMM7, and CESMM.
- Technical expertise in cost planning, BOQ preparation, and quantity take-offs.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, design documentation, and construction methodologies.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and client interaction.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- MRICS qualification is considered a plus.
- Experience with CostX or similar software is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare feasibility studies, detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for UK-based construction projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from design documentation ensuring accuracy across all phases.
- Apply construction methodology knowledge to support cost planning and value engineering.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and design-related risks throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with project teams to raise RFIs and improve cost delivery outcomes.
- Deliver cost management services for occupier and investor clients to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Utilize industry-standard measurement codes such as NRM, SMM7, and CESMM.
- Interpret client briefs into structured cost delivery plans and execution strategies.
- Manage medium to large-scale projects from inception through completion.
