Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in chargebacks, acquiring disputes, or payments operations.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end chargeback lifecycle and card scheme regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with Visa, Mastercard, or similar payment network dispute processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transaction and behavioral data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and fraud trend identification.
  • Exposure to reconciliation, financial investigations, or reporting.
  • Familiarity with merchant acquiring or payment processing environments.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and loss reduction.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage chargebacks, representments, pre-arbitrations, and arbitration cases across card schemes.
  • Investigate disputed transactions and assess legitimacy using transaction data and merchant insights.
  • Review, build, and submit evidence packages to support dispute outcomes and recover losses.
  • Identify fraud trends and root causes to improve prevention and control mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with Visa, Mastercard, and other card scheme rules and internal policies.
  • Support reconciliation of dispute-related financial movements including fees and recoveries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve escalations and complex cases.
  • Contribute to reporting, MIS, and insights to support decision-making and strategy.
  • Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to peers and act as a subject matter expert in dispute resolution practices.
