Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in chargebacks, acquiring disputes, or payments operations.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end chargeback lifecycle and card scheme regulations.
- Hands-on experience with Visa, Mastercard, or similar payment network dispute processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transaction and behavioral data.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Experience in root cause analysis and fraud trend identification.
- Exposure to reconciliation, financial investigations, or reporting.
- Familiarity with merchant acquiring or payment processing environments.
- Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and loss reduction.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts.
Responsibilities
- Manage chargebacks, representments, pre-arbitrations, and arbitration cases across card schemes.
- Investigate disputed transactions and assess legitimacy using transaction data and merchant insights.
- Review, build, and submit evidence packages to support dispute outcomes and recover losses.
- Identify fraud trends and root causes to improve prevention and control mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with Visa, Mastercard, and other card scheme rules and internal policies.
- Support reconciliation of dispute-related financial movements including fees and recoveries.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve escalations and complex cases.
- Contribute to reporting, MIS, and insights to support decision-making and strategy.
- Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Provide guidance to peers and act as a subject matter expert in dispute resolution practices.
