Requirements
- 14+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
- Proven experience scaling teams through Series C or equivalent growth.
- Strong IC background having progressed through Architect or Principal Engineer roles.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML systems to production (LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows).
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native microservices architecture.
- Experience building and scaling large-scale distributed platforms with high availability requirements.
- Proven experience partnering with CTO or CEO on technical strategy.
- Experience managing directors and senior managers in a distributed environment.
- Experience with fintech, document AI, or regulated data-intensive industries.
- Familiarity with AI-augmented SDLC practices and modern developer productivity tooling.
- Comfortable operating across US and India time zones.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end engineering execution, including roadmap planning, sprint cadence, and release quality.
- Partner with product teams to align engineering capacity with priorities and surface tradeoffs.
- Lead engineering strategy for integrating LLMs and agentic workflows into the platform at scale.
- Define standards for AI output quality, hallucination control, cost governance, and production reliability.
- Remain hands-on with architecture reviews, system design decisions, and technical troubleshooting.
- Lead and grow a distributed engineering organization across the US and India.
- Represent engineering at the executive level and manage domain budgets and headcount planning.
