Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in media relations, journalism, public relations, or communications strategy.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience crafting persuasive narratives.
- Deep understanding of media ecosystems, including traditional and digital platforms.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in issue advocacy, political messaging, or nonprofit communications preferred.
- Availability for occasional travel, night, and weekend work as needed.
- Commitment to the mission of the pro-life movement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute high-level messaging strategies in collaboration with the VP of Communications.
- Own and execute earned media strategy, including proactive pitching to media outlets to secure coverage.
- Craft press releases, op-eds, speeches, and other key communications.
- Oversee the production of high-impact written and visual content, including investigative reports and video scripts.
- Identify cultural and political trends to proactively shape the media narrative.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and pro-life thought leaders.
- Develop and implement rapid response strategies for crisis situations.
- Represent the organization at events, conferences, and media engagements.
