Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in media relations, journalism, public relations, or communications strategy.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with experience crafting persuasive narratives.
  • Deep understanding of media ecosystems, including traditional and digital platforms.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in issue advocacy, political messaging, or nonprofit communications preferred.
  • Availability for occasional travel, night, and weekend work as needed.
  • Commitment to the mission of the pro-life movement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute high-level messaging strategies in collaboration with the VP of Communications.
  • Own and execute earned media strategy, including proactive pitching to media outlets to secure coverage.
  • Craft press releases, op-eds, speeches, and other key communications.
  • Oversee the production of high-impact written and visual content, including investigative reports and video scripts.
  • Identify cultural and political trends to proactively shape the media narrative.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and pro-life thought leaders.
  • Develop and implement rapid response strategies for crisis situations.
  • Represent the organization at events, conferences, and media engagements.
