Requirements
- Proven experience as a founder or commercial lead in an early-stage startup environment.
- Track record of taking a business from inception to early deals and fundraising.
- Strong financial literacy with the ability to build and communicate complex financial models.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, credible with investors, customers, and technical teams.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make rapid decisions with imperfect information.
- Professional experience in materials, chemicals, packaging, or adjacent industrial sectors.
- Experience in circular economy, sustainability, or related recycling value chains is a strong differentiator.
- Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks for chemicals or materials is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer discovery and market prioritization from cold outreach to binding offtake agreements.
- Establish feedstock supply partnerships with waste management companies.
- Develop strategic partnerships with compounders, distributors, and brand owners.
- Create techno-economic models and define pricing strategy in collaboration with the technical founder.
- Lead fundraising efforts including commercial due diligence and closing investment rounds.
- Direct company strategy and build the commercial team as the venture scales.
