Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, distributed systems, or platform engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise with cloud architecture and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience designing scalable, resilient cloud environments and automated provisioning workflows.
  • At least 1 year of teaching or training experience, preferably in an online/asynchronous environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing asynchronous online courses for adult learners in higher education.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital authoring tools.
  • Familiarity with curriculum design, accreditation standards, and graduate-level academic rigor.
  • Ability to translate interdisciplinary content into accessible learning pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build a new three-credit asynchronous online course titled RITM 140 Advanced Cloud Engineering & Intelligent Infrastructure Automation.
  • Create a Brandeis-compliant syllabus and instructor-created materials informed by industry knowledge.
  • Develop applied assignments and assessments aligned with institutional learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Brandeis Online staff and Learning Designers throughout the design process.
  • Adhere to technical requirements for LMS integration and meet designated project milestones.
  • Uphold Brandeis’s academic standards and online course development guidelines.
