Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of design program management experience within a software environment.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design practices and UX tools.
  • Solid understanding of software development methods, primarily Agile.
  • Proven track record in managing programs and leading design sprints/workshops.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Fluency with the SDLC and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Solid foundation in AI and experience helping designers improve AI fluency.
  • Strong writing, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel when needed (10% or less).

Responsibilities

  • Own and/or manage programs and initiatives that improve design team success (team health, design efficiency, and/or design impact).
  • Establish program goals, strategy, operating model, and governance while navigating ambiguity.
  • Execute program tactics within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
  • Identify connections to other programs and teams, engaging stakeholders for mutual success.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, manage communications, and ensure program tracking.
  • Design and lead design sprints to accelerate product and program development.
  • Coach and support design team members on prioritization, level-of-effort estimating, and asset management.
  • Design and implement new ways of working using design thinking methods.
  • Champion the growth of DesignOps by documenting and sharing best practices across the company.
