Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, Data/Business Analytics, or a relevant quantitative field, OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field with relevant prior experience.
- Prior experience with Pricing or Product/State Management analytical work in the insurance industry.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with data analysis software such as R, SAS, Python, or Power BI.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities.
- Previous experience in auto insurance (Commercial Auto experience is a plus).
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and interpret statistical analyses of insurance sales, claims experience, or other key business metrics to help support strategic decisions.
- Develop, interpret, and present analysis and proposals to various stakeholder groups to help solve mid to high level business problems.
- Employ statistical techniques to model various underwriting and pricing business practices.
- Collaborate with peers, management, and other business unit partners.
- Communicate across departments to ensure company success.
